Hi, I’m Maureen Nelson.
I’m glad you’re here.

MA, Professional Counselor Associate, #R9157

Hello, I feel a deep passion for helping clients heal and accomplish their goals. It’s an honor each time a client invites me to walk with them into the painful places of their story. Whether you are seeking practical advice, navigating complex relationships, processing intense emotions, or simply in need of someone to listen, I am here to support you every step of the way. I specialize in providing compassionate guidance to couples and individuals dealing with a range of challenges, both current and rooted in the past.

I welcome your call or email to get our conversation started! 971.299.7989, maureen@life-paths-counseling.com.

As a native of the Pacific Northwest, I am enthralled with the beauty that is all around. When I’m not working, I am outside in all seasons with my husband and the best pup ever, Duchess.

I received my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from George Fox University in 2024. I have been in practice for the past year. As a Professional Counselor Associate, #R9157, registered with the State of Oregon, I receive supervision from Dr. Michele Engblom-Deglmann, License #T1004.

Approach:

I specialize in the Gottman Method, helping couples build stronger, more fulfilling relationships. Through a blend of evidence-based therapies like CBT and DBT, and creative techniques like art therapy, I empower individuals to develop healthy coping mechanisms, enhance communication, and achieve personal growth.

Clientele:

In my practice, I have worked with clients experiencing relational difficulties, trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, low self-esteem, and spiritual wounds. While these experiences profoundly shape who we are and our sense of safety in the world, these experiences do not have to define us. Working together, let’s create a path of authenticity, healing, and growth through focused, attuned care and gentle support.
